Eric Scheele

Eric Scheele is the Co-Founder and President of KC MudJack, a Kansas City concrete lifting and leveling company serving homeowners and businesses throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area. KC MudJack specializes in raising and stabilizing settled concrete using modern polyurethane concrete-lifting technology.

Eric brings extensive experience in residential real estate, foundation repair, concrete settlement and home-services business development to KC MudJack. As the Founder and President of KC Pier and KC Property Guys, he has spent years working with Kansas City homes affected by expansive clay soil, changing moisture conditions, foundation movement, drainage problems and settled concrete.

Through the renovation of hundreds of residential properties, Eric developed a practical understanding of how sinking driveways, sidewalks, patios, garage floors and other concrete surfaces affect safety, drainage, appearance and property value.KC MudJack was created to provide a specialized concrete-lifting operation supported by the foundation knowledge, production systems and customer-service experience developed through KC Pier.

Eric is also President and Owner of Foundation 1, a Kansas City foundation repair and basement waterproofing company established in 2001. The connection among KC MudJack, KC Pier and Foundation 1 allows the companies to distinguish between concrete settlement, underlying soil problems, drainage concerns and broader foundation movement before recommending a repair.

Eric is the author of “Foundation Repair & Basement Waterproofing: The Kansas City Homeowner’s Guide” and has written extensively about foundation repair, concrete settlement, basement waterproofing, residential renovation and homeownership. His professional and entrepreneurial experience has been featured by USA Today, VoyageKC, City Lifestyle, BloggerLocal TV, Investing.com and the Business Brokers Podcast.

Before entering the real estate and home-services industries, Eric spent 11 years as a chemistry teacher and golf coach at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. He later helped build TalkFree.com, an international Voice over Internet Protocol company with telecommunications operations and reseller networks across the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

At KC MudJack, Eric focuses on business strategy, customer education, marketing, financial oversight and the systems needed to provide consistent concrete-lifting services. His objective is to combine modern polyurethane lifting technology with the broader foundation and residential construction knowledge necessary to recommend the right solution for each property.

Eric and his wife live in the Kansas City area and enjoy spending time with their grown children. When he is not working on one of his businesses, Eric can often be found golfing, fishing, camping or enjoying time outdoors with his family.
